One of my favorite things to do is to place a bean in a plastic bag with a wet paper towel and hang it in a sunny window. It is instant gratification. Within a day or two, the bean sprouts and begins to show roots and a stem. Within four days, we have a full fledged plant, and the children have a birds eye view of every part of a plant. (You might need to spray the paper towel once day to keep it moist). So easy and fun!

Of course, I can never pass up planting seeds the good old fashion way. Hopefully we will have flower plants to repot and send home in time for Father's Day.
And finally, a good book. A classic. LOVE it.

I had forgotten about this book! Your plants look wonderful!
